State of Florida vs. Baldonado, Miami, Florida:
College basketball standout, now playing for the Miami Tropics professional basketball team. Charged with kidnapping and aggravated battery. Intense trial preparation and defense leading to dismissal of charges.

State of Florida vs. Dale Davis, Miami, Florida:
Detroit Pistons professional basketball player charged with numerous crimes as a result of a dispute with hotel security and the Miami Beach police. Undertones of racism and the Pistons being a Miami Heat rival in the NBA. During his arrest he was tasered with 50,000 volts of electricity. Jury trial in front of ex-Miami Dolphin judge Edward Newman. Trial recessed so Mr. Davis could play in the Pistons-Heat game that evening. Detroit won and so did Mr. Davis the next day...acquittal!

State of Florida vs. Kelley, Miami, Florida:
As an assistant state attorney prosecuted home invasion robbers of then mayor, Xavier L. Suarez. Conviction.

State of Florida vs. Saavedra:
Miami, Florida. Successfully defended the President of the anti Castro group Vigilia Mambisa who was arrested in a non violent protest over the detention and deportation of Elian Gonzalez. Acquittal.

State of Florida vs. Spencer:
Miami, Florida. Successfully defended the client who was arrested in a bath room and wrongfully accused of lewd and lascivious conduct by over zealous police. Acquittal.

State of Florida vs. Srithip:
Miami, Florida. Successfully defended the rights of a non English speaking defendant charged with DUI where investigation was completed in English without the aid of an interpreter.Acquittal.

State of Florida vs. Castro:
Miami, Florida. Successfully defended the rights of a Cuban national wrongfully charged for the crimes of another person. Acquittal.

State of Florida vs. M.K.:
Miami, Florida. Successfully defended a practicing attorney charged with fraud and bribery. Year long litigation resulted in dismissal of all charges.

State of Florida vs. Gray:
Miami, Florida, Trial resulting in the abolition of the attempted felony murder rule in the State of Florida. In response, the Florida legislature amended the law.
